Small, Versatile and Sounds AMAZING!
"I’ve tried numerous micro amps over the years. This one finally checks all the boxes (for my needs, anyways!)
25 watts is plenty loud. Plus it takes 4 and 16 ohm loads, too so you’re not limited. Running on 9v is a great option for bedroom practice. XLR out with the cabsim is great. This has an effects loop which the Walrus Audio and Strymon Iridium lack. Simple controls. No screens with complicated functions. Just twist your knobs and find your sound.
Let’s talk about the sound.
If you want those bell like VOX tones. THIS IS IT! Built in reverb is realistic and can be dialed in as dry or wet as you like… the limiter is a great added touch, too! JMP800 is as close to the real thing as you’re going to get for the money. This takes all my drive and distortion pedals like a champ.
I currently pair this with a 12” Celestion Vintage 30w speaker at an 8ohm load. I cannot believe how good this little thing sounds. When I need a lower volume I’ll run it 9v at 1 watt and put it through the Orange 8” speaker cab that I use for my micro terrors. Sounds great, too.
Quilter hit a home run with this pedal amp. Now I just need the super block US and I’ll be all set."
Only fault is the headphone-out - Top notch in all other regards
"I have owned many Quilter amps. My main is currently the 101R which is an amazing straight-forward amp that I mainly use as a pedal platform.
The Superblock UK is different. The different options sound like what they are supposed to, which is essentially a Marshall or a Voc AC30. I haven't done a side-by-side but they feel pretty close to the originals to me. The 9-volt option sounds great for low-volume bedroom levels and the 24-volt is plenty loud. I would definitely keep this on my board as a backup with no worries. It also takes pedals just as well as the 101R. The reverb sounds great.
The headphone out is supposed to have speaker emulation. This is a lie. It sounds as bad as every amp headphone out. If your goal is to have something to play through headphones primarily buy anything else.
I have not used the line out or XLR out yet."

"The drummer I play with said he could tell an immediate difference when I switched my Joyo Jackman out for this. Louder, clearer and way more versatile. The XLR line out cab sims are great, and the thing just looks cool, very regal with its gold/green color scheme. I play a strat with this into a 2x10 with celestions for reference. If you're looking for some British jangle/crunch and decent volume with no tubes to fail, this is it."
