OMG
"And god said let their be metal. In one day Orange created the Dark terror. Its name speaks for itself. Its a beast in a box and well worth the money. My neighbors across the street came knocking on my window, That should tell you something about this amp.
Clean: this amp can easily get a clean tone but you have to cut down the gain people. I got a nice jazz sound in seconds. A sparkly clean on the other hand was a little harder.
This thing has a nice amount of bass and to be honest it sounds best turned up to about 4 with the gain and tone at between 11-1 o'clock. its easily usable in a band and sounds great coming out of my Marshall 1960A cab. I do think it will sound best through an Orange 2x12 since that's what its meant for.
Tone: this thing can get from AC/DC and Zeppelin tones to Slipknot, Metallica and beyond. The tone is very fuzzy and bassy when at low volumes."
Built like a tank
"Exceptional tube amp for the price point. I have both this and the 20 amp hybrid micro dark terror and the dark terror sounds much better. 7 W setting helps for home practice.
Tons of gain as it’s designed for and sounds best for metal with shape at 12-2 o’clock and gain from 1-3 o’clock IMO. Also when used with an OD pedal it tightens up the tone a bit but not required. The beast is pretty noisy so I recommend using a noise gate in the preamp chain as well.
Running it through my 2x12 120W orange PPC w/ 60 W Celestion V30s. It’s pretty loud especially for a 15W amp!"
