Laney Guitar Amplifier Cabinet, Black (LFR-112)

Really sounds great, very happy with my purchase.
"I've had this "amp" for about a year and a half now, I use it exclusively with my Fractal FM3. I was originally looking for the LFR-212 because I wasn't sure this would be loud enough. LOL. Thank god they were out of stock everywhere because the 1x12 is loud as hell. Really sounds great, very happy with my purchase."
    Best FRFR on the market
"Made my FM3 sound more amp in the room"
Pretty much perfect solution for amplifying modellers
"Guitar amp modelling has reached an incredible stage of authenticity where in a properly done A/B test nobody can reliably tell a real amp from a modelled amp anymore - that of course means - a real amp recorded with real microphones and then played back through a PA or studio monitors compared to a modelled amp with impulse responses auditioned via the same playback system.
However, this situation is not what typically makes guitar players happy. The majority of guitar players want to have the "amp in the room" feeling. In particular on stage, the experience for the player if they only hear their modeller through wedge monitors can be fairly underwhelming.
Here is where the Laney comes in. It is a FRFR system to which one feed the entire modelled chain including the cabinet simulation and the Laney will amplify it to stage levels. Compared to studio monitors or wedges on stage, the Laney provides much more of an amp-in-the-room feeling together with modellers like the Line6 Helix or the Quad Cortex. So, for me it is a big improvement. can it sound at the same time like a Fender Champ 1x8 and a Mesa Boogie 4x12 with V30 speakers? Probably not, but it does amplify a modellers faithfully.
The unit seems very robust and well build. The intrinsic noise floor is very low, the feature set is pretty much perfect (Line out to PA, volume control, hi-cut, ground lift). The LED light is a nice gimmick and looks great on stage (saw it in a Martin Miller concert). The sound is crystal clear and there is plenty of volume on tap. I really can recommend this product.
One potential drawback may be that it is pretty big and fairly heavy - so if one is using a modellers to save space and weight, it would probably be a bit ironic to use a big, heavy, loud FRFR cab and a modellers to not have to carry a big, heavy and loud guitar amplifier."
