Very nice small electric guitar amp
"This Lekato mini guitar amp is a pretty decent and very portable electric guitar amp and more. It doesn't just have a 1/4" guitar input jack for plugging in your guitar, but also a 1/8" auxiliary input and Bluetooth for playing songs from any Bluetooth sound source so you can play along with the music. I was going to make a list of pros and cons or this amp, but then I though it would be more effective if I just wrote about my observations - cons and pros together.
But first - some of the other features of the amp are:
> Small compact size - great for easily carrying it with you for practice, jamming with friends, etc.
> Impressively solid construction. The case is made of metal all around. There's a convenient carry handle on top.
> Loud AND quiet audio output. What I mean is It's pretty loud when used in the "distortion" mode, since the overdrive really boosts the volume. It's considerably less loud in "clean" mode.
> Besides the main volume control, there are also "level", "gain", and a tone control. These latter three controls are only active in Distortion mode.
> The main speaker isn't real large (how can it be with such a small case size?), so the bass output is somewhat underwhelming to say the least. But there is a passive radiator on the rear of the amp which helps a little.
I think that one of the best features of this little amp is that it is battery powered (has an internal Lithium battery that's charged via a USB-C jack, with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable included). Because what's the point in having a tiny amp if you still need to plug it into an AC outlet? The distortion tones are pretty nice, and with the three volume controls can be dialed in to a wide range of distortion amounts. As I mentioned, the clean mode provides much less output volume than the distortion mode. But I think it would still be fine for quiet practice, and can be used with an electric-acoustic guitar which typically is played clean.
Regarding the bass response, although it is lacking when playing a guitar through the 1/4" input jack (I wonder if there is a high-pass filter on the 1/4" input?) But for some reason it isn't too bad when using it as a Bluetooth speaker. The tone when playing music files isn't exactly audiophile quality (mostly mid-range, not much high-frequency response, and no deep bass), but it isn't too bad at all - and certainly is sufficient for playing along with. As I mentioned before, the passive radiator helps, particularly when playing music files through. It responds reasonably well to drum hits and bass drum to really enhance these tones a bit.
To summarize, I really think that this little amp's best features are its portability, convenience, decent distortion sounds, and solid as a rock construction. It's not a do-it-all guitar amplification solution, but it definitely fills a niche. I think that most guitarists would get good use out of it, particularly those who like to play with friends in not-too-loud jam sessions, those who like to play along with pre-recorded music files, and those who just need a little amp for practice that won't disturb the household too much."
Cool little practice amp!
"This version of the LEKATO Mini Guitar Amp is pretty cool. First one I've seen in a full metal case. Feels substantial. It's a battery-powered amp (self-contained battery, charge via USB-C), with a 1/4" instrument input jack and a 1/8" auxiliary input jack. It has Bluetooth built in so the unit will stream audio from your phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled source. There is no headphone jack.
Sound-wide, it's not bad for a tiny amp. My guitar came through nicely. It's seriously lacking in bass response though. I have other small Bluetooth-powered speakers, about the size of this amp, that have excellent bass response. Since this amp can be used as a personal listening device when playing music from your phone, a better bass response would be very welcome. And it would make your guitar sound much, much better.
It has two channels: clean and distortion. The channels are selected via a toggle switch on the front. The clean channel has one volume knob and no tone control. It sounds pretty good. The distortion channel has a gain control, level control and a tone knob. A decent overdrive tone can be dialed in. Metalcore fans- this amp is NOT for you! :-)
A big issue that I saw is that the amp is leaking RF that interferes with some digital television broadcast channels. It interfered with channel 7, completely blocking it out. Then I noticed that this unit is not FCC-certified."
Jam Session Hero
"The LEKATO Mini Guitar Amp is a compact powerhouse, perfect for my grandson’s jam sessions. Its portability and rechargeable features make it convenient for spontaneous gatherings. Switching between clean and distortion tones is straightforward, allowing for creative musical explorations. The Bluetooth connectivity is a plus, turning any space into a mini-concert hall. It’s been a reliable companion in nurturing their dreams of forming a rock band."
