Sonus Lite has headphone output, Sonus has AUX input!
"Despite mentioning a headphone output multiple times, the amp I received is just like the one pictured and has an AUX INPUT where the images say there is a headphone output with volume.
Normally, this wouldn't be an issue with the product, but rather with the seller. In this case though, this KLIQ amplifier was sold by KLIQ Music Gear. They misdescribed their own product. The Sonus Lite appears to actually have a headphone output, and wouldn't you know it? The images are exactly the same, with the different amps pasted into the photos. So ok, blame the graphic design guy, but headphones are specifically mentioned in the description and listing title of the model without a headphone output. This seller clearly does not know their own branded product.
Now, truth be told, the AUX input isn't a bad thing. Some might find that more useful than a headphone output, but the amp should be correctly described, since this is one of only 2 function differences between these two amps. FYI, I did try connecting both headphones and a music player - definitely an AUX in on the amp I received.
The Sonus and Sonus Lite are almost identical, both being 5" speakers with 10W amps. The Lite is a little shallower since it doesn't have the battery compartment that the Sonus does. So the regular Sonus is a little larger, with a battery compartment and an AUX output. The Sonus Lite has a headphone output and must use a power supply. In theory, the feature differences kind of make sense. It would stand to reason that if you wanted to use the amp somewhere without power, you wouldn't be looking to use headphones, but you might want to plug in your music player. On the same note, if you were somewhere with electricity, you might need to play quietly through headphones. Again, just describe the products correctly.
Honestly, with such small differences, I don't understand why there are separate models. How about a single amp model, with headphone out AND AUX in, power supply driven but also with a battery compartment. And throw in a lighter plug adapter so you can power it off of your car. Call it "Sonus II" or "Sonus Max" or something. $69.99. Sounds like a great deal. And it WOULD be great because really this isn't a bad little practice amp. Plenty of volume for its size. The distortion didn't really impress me much, but if you don't have, or don't want to carry, pedals with you, it's better than nothing.
I'm sure the performance of the Sonus and Sonus Lite are pretty much identical, making them both fun little practice amps."
Good for that private jam session or for on the go composing...
"While you aren't going to host any concerts with this, it certainly has enough juice to work for private jams and creation sessions on the go, the portability is good and the sound is genuinely nice, natural, and open, with no noise on the inputs that I can tell or hear. Overall, this is a great unit to have just in case, or for on-the-go reasons."
Works decent for size. Is very small.
"I will say this is cute lol. It does work surprisingly well for it size, but don't expect to blow anyone off stage. It is much smaller than it appears in pics. This is definitely a must have for traveling to practice. Has a few adjustments that make it worth while."
