"Did not use this with guitar, but did use the MP3 input to play tracks from phone and computer for practicing. This part works great.

Tried this with bass, have to use very low volume, and play higher notes. If you try to play the really low bass notes, the speaker sounds totally broken. Don't even try. To be fair, it's advertized as a guitar speaker, and the size of the speaker is small. Bass speakers should be at least 10 inches, preferably 15 inches, and cost a lot more. Can't really expect something this small to work.

Customer service is great. They did reach out and provided information on their bass headphone amplifier (which does require headphones) which should work for my application. I can use my 10" PA system if I want to fill the room with sound, or use the bass headphone amplifier to a headset for quiet practice at night without bothering others."
