"Bought this because I needed an IOS interface for guitar Apps and this was about $10 less than the IRIG2 interface. As a bonus you get a small amplifier. I use Garage band and Tonebridge on an iPad. It works well for those applications. The AmpliTube App. included with the IRIG Nano is very limited unless you buy the add-ons.
The hardware itself is well made with solid feeling connectors, switches and control nobs. The sound quality is about what you would expect with 3 Watts and a 3-inch speaker; however, it works great as an interface to a larger amplifier.
I use rechargeable AA batteries which last several hours before needing a recharge. There is no internal charging capability in the Nano. The batteries must be removed for that.

If you want a small practice amplifier / speaker with better sound quality and a super modeling application, Positive Grid Go is a better choice at about 4 times the Nano price. If you just need an IOS App interface and already have a larger practice Amp, the Nano is just right - and you get a small practice Amp for occasional use as a bonus."

"There is something that makes me nuts! Why do they have to put 3 batteries, why not in pairs, 2 or 4 should be the choice.
