"I’ve tried mini amps before from Vox and was always disappointed with the sound quality and range of tones, in fact needing to buy different units to get clean and crunchy tones. With the Fender you get a wide range from clean, bluesy through to heavy distortion. You cannot alter gain on the various amps so it is what it is. However the sound quality is surprisingly good played through studio headphones. Effects are a little limited but the basics are there, chorus, reverb, flanger etc. Useful Bluetooth connection to play backing tracks and the recharge of battery is easy. It’s not got the tone of a Deluxe Reverb and it’s not got the versatility a GTX 100 modeling amp - but it is great to play that riff you can’t get right over and over again without fear of annoying all around you."

"I hardly go for the cheapest because you frequently get what you paid for. That said, this is the most expensive available, but it has a brand that backs it up. It's so easy to use and it has dozens of amp models and effects that could be used together changing the sound completely. The effects section allows you to made some light modifications (delay time, delay level, tremolo speed, etc), and you can combine them with your favorite amp model. There's no app to edit the effects (like the NUX Mighty Plug Pro), but you really don't need this for practicing with you headphone. Apps give you more flexibility that you actually don't need. You are hardly going to use this amp to record your music, so the amp/effect sections are for your practice. I like technology and that's why I considered the NUX initially, but it just adds to much complexity for something that you get straight out of the box with this Fender unit. And the bluetooth, well, it works great. I stream my videos, audio and lessons to the amp while connected to my bass and my headphones, so I can play along, practice, and not disturb anyone. Well, and let's not forget how good it is to be able to be unplugged and move around. That's it. Very satisfied."
