    Decent
"I will say it's a great mini amp however the description says 24 pack of picks it only came with 3 this is a kinda disappointing because the boss guitars picks are cool and are decent to handle however it dosent change the fact that it's a good bundle for the price"
Metalheads: Install Tone Studio and Turn on the Noise Gate
"The Katana 50 MKII is extremely versatile and loaded with features. It's mean too, it's got bite for a little amp, it is loud and holds up at high volumes. I mostly play extreme music in low tunings and the Katana works very well for that. I like to play on brown with variation, a T-Screamer boost, and Modern Cab resonance and this thing screams death metal. There is a slight lack of punch in the low palm mutes with the distortion so far, but that brings me to the only issue I have with the Katana if you can even call it an issue. There is too much to learn, too many options, too much tweaking. You can't just turn it on, adjust a few knobs, and play after you install Tone Studio. You get sucked into a never ending spiral in search of the perfect tone and it never ends because the options are endless. Even then...the simplicity is still there. It's so easy to get a good tone right from the panel. But once you install Tone Studio, you're done for, there's no going back. But the Katana doesn't suffer counterintuitive engineering that other modern modeling amps suffer from, ya know the kind where you're trying to navigate through a complex multilayered menu on a tiny lcd screen on the panel with one knob that controls 10 different things. That's a big reason I said no to the Mustang along with the fact they somehow perfected making the distortion sound like it's trapped inside a vacuum chamber. No, the Katana keeps it real with just knobs and buttons and ear bleeding clarity. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is that the amp doesn't have the noise gate on at factory settings. The noise gate is vital with heavy distortion, and the amp does have one built in, a really good one, you just need to activate it by intalling Tone Studio and hooking the amp up to your computer with a ridiculously outdated USB cable. Last thing I want to mention is if you plan on using a looper pedal, this isn't the amp for you. It doesn't have an Effects Loop."
Clear around and a broad range of onboard quality effects. Perfect for accoustic or electric
"Great product. Well built and compact compared to older model amps. Great onboard effects including chorus, delay. Reverb and some cool crunch and distortion modules built in. Great band room amp and I would also trust I for small and medium sized rooms for professional shows. I am using it for a nylon string guitar with built in pick up but it would work well for electric guitars too."
