Best Bang for the Buck Home Practice Amp
"This is perfect. Beautiful tube sound. Gets very loud If you want it to. One Watt setting allows you not to destroy your ears at home lol. But still gets very loud on one watt. SonicCake Twiggy Blues multi effect pedal (reverb, delay, distortion and compression pedals all in one) combined with this amp is the ultimate beginner solution or home practice solution for between 180 and 250 dollars depending on if you can get this amp for a hundred like I did from Amazon. That's all I need unless I get good enough to play out ???? took back up guitar recently. In my twenties I did have a fender blues deville 60 watt 4 x 10. So I have some idea what an amazing tube amp should sound like."
    Very good but...
"Be ready to spend an extra hundred of so dollars on higher quality tubes and maybe a speaker to really get this think going. I did and it was money well spent. Does it sound better than my $1300 Henriksen Bud 6. No. Does it sound good. Yes. What tube amp doesn't? I plug into it as often as I plug into my Bud"
Good home practice amp or small gigs. Price can’t be beat.
"You aren’t going to find a better price for a tube amp than this. Great sound and tones. Doesn’t have any bells or whistles and only has one knob for EQ, but it takes pedals well. Worth every penny. I have had it since February and it still works great. No issues on arrival or after. It’s a tube amp so it may take up to two minutes to warm up. If you want a real tube amp sound but don’t want to spend 300-700 dollars this is perfect. I was worried because I thought about getting the one with higher wattage but this is loud enough for my practice at 30% volume, so probably works okay for small gigs too."
More About This Item
  • It includes a Low input and a High input, with the former attenuating the signal by approximately 50% and the latter being easier to overdrive.
  • While tone is always debatable, the increased dynamic range and even-order harmonic distortion of tubes produces the better sound.
