I might have gotten a lemon
"I want to live this thing but it seems the speaker gets distorted even on the clean channel when you first strike the strings. I’m waiting to hear back from the seller and I’ll update this if need be. I really want to like this amp."
A good tool for the mobile guitarist.
"When I ordered this little amp, my intention was to keep it next to my comfy chair for casual practice sessions. For that purpose, it fits the bill perfectly. It's also very portable and has made it's way to several other locations like my living room, bedroom, etc... I get annoyed when having to wear headphones while I practice (the cable just always seems to be in the way) so a small amp like this and, if you really want to practice in true comfort, an inexpensive wireless guitar system are a match made in heaven.

The amp was packaged nicely and as soon as I unboxed it I plugged it in to give it a full charge. While waiting, I had a quick look at the manual which is brief and well written. It covers all of the amp functions with diagrams when needed. Once the amp was charged I dove right in and tried the bluetooth setup with my iPhone. No drama there as the amp was able to sync to my phone easily, displaying it's name in my list of bluetooth devices as "Unique-Mini". I tested a few different songs played from my phone and must admit that I was a bit disappointed by the sound quality. I own a few small bluetooth speakers which are actually smaller in size than this amp yet sound better, especially in the bass frequencies. The amp produces a clear sound via bluetooth and can get quite loud if needed - I just wish the low end was a bit stronger.

That said, I next plugged my guitar into the amp with the hopes that the sound quality there would be better. Thankfully it was. While this amp is never going to rival a small practice amp with even a 6 inch speaker, it's size and the fact that it has a rechargeable battery were what I was most interested in. While playing I tried the various knobs for the eq, distortion and delay. I found the eq to be sufficient considering the small size of the amp. The distortion circuit is even workable if you set it to a higher gain setting. Lower gain settings were ok but not really inspiring. Lastly, I tried the delay feature and found the delay amount and delay time to function as expected. Unfortunately, when using the delay feature I noticed a bit of noise as the delay was trailing off. It's not overwhelming but it would be nice if it were a bit cleaner.

Lastly, I tried the headphones output and the aux input, both of which worked as expected. The headphones out produced a full range of sound which would be perfect for silent practicing. I connected an old iPod to the aux in but the quality was the same as connecting my phone via bluetooth (not great).

Overall, the amp has been a good addition to my practice routine and I would buy it, or a similar product again if this one were to fail. The battery life of the amp is decent and even after a week of not being used, the indicator showed a full charge. It's faults aside, I feel that many guitarists would find this a useful tool for practice sessions and if you can deal with plugging in headphones, you will be rewarded with a fuller, richer sound from your bluetooth or aux input device."
Pretty good but could use better frequency response
"This is my first time playing around with a mini-practice amp like this. I'm coming from about 3 decades of playing both acoustic and electric, and over the years I've built up some pretty high end gear: I WILL NOT be comparing this to my tube amp or collection of pedals because that wouldn't be fair.

    The Good:

The unit feels solid and built well. All adjustments actually have a noticeable effect. If someone has never gotten to play with delay they'll have fun experiencing it for the first time. Distortion works, and gets pretty crunchy with the gain (and loud). It's obviously digital, but at this price you're not getting tubes. I will say that it isn't as good as an affordable "entry" level distortion pedal, but then again you're getting an all in one unit here.

Bluetooth connects effectively, and it's actually nice that it has a manual volume control (in addition to volume via your phone).

    The Meh:

Annoyingly, it will only charge with some of my USB chargers. This isn't unheard of and I've experienced it with other electronics. However, it's still annoying. It won't charge with higher output chargers, so your "fast" phone charger probably won't work.

It has very weak low end response that distorts quickly and easily. You can't expect much from speakers this size, but I have a small Bluetooth speaker (that's just a speaker) that reproduces bass very well and I think they could do a much better job here.

It would be REALLY nice if the delay had a "tap" button. It's pretty hard to match the beat and play along with a song using delay unless you can tap in the beat.

    Final Thoughts and Notes:

Note that if you use it as a Bluetooth speaker none of the guitar amp functions have an effect.

I think this actually sounds pretty good running a clean signal. Distortion is ok, but you're not going to be blowing minds or recording with it (or at least I wouldn't).

I think they could improve if they could keep the same price-point, just dropped the bluetooth, and put more resources towards making the low end response better, and added a tap button."
